Senslytics Paper on Microbial Influenced Corrosion Accepted for Publication at the AMPP 2023 Conference

Senslytics’ paper "Applying Intuition Technology - A Data-Light Causation AI - To Assist Understanding Of Complexity In Microbial Influenced Corrosion" has been accepted for publication by the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) at its annual conference and expo in Denver, Colorado, March 19-23, 2023. The AMPP is a global community of professionals dedicated to materials protection through the advancement of corrosion control and protective coatings.

Global corrosion costs are estimated at $2.5 trillion. Today microbial influenced corrosion is most often identified after damage has occurred and non-living (abiotic) factors have been ruled out. Both microbial and abiotic factors play a big role in the degradation of and occasionally catastrophic events in oil, gas, and water pipelines. Senslytics is working to develop an AI application capable of providing early warning of corrosion while also determining whether the cause of corrosion is living or non-living.
